A wonderful poem, dedicated to Gary Snyder and written just after Allen Ginsberg returned from a trip to Japan to visit Snyder, printed in Evergreen Review, 1967. This was my culture growing up. It was wondrous while it lasted: check out the amazing graphics on this cover! (Click here to see the poem.)

DEDICATION: To Hyun Lee, one of the best organizers and smartest analysts I have ever known. She dedicated her life to making the peace for a unified Korea. She left us in 2022 way too soon. This photograph was taken in July 2013 at a demonstration in Seoul calling for a peace treaty to end the Korean War. Hyun Lee, Presente!
