  • Document of the Day, US-ROK

A 1947 comparison by the U.S. Embassy in Seoul of the costs of American vs South Korean troops. Basically, a ratio of $200 to $1. Cheap labor indeed.

DEDICATION: To Hyun Lee, one of the best organizers and smartest analysts I have ever known. She dedicated her life to making the peace for a unified Korea. She left us in 2022 way too soon. This photograph was taken in July 2013 at a demonstration in Seoul calling for a peace treaty to end the Korean War. Hyun Lee, Presente!
