My interview with The Real News

On Friday, I spoke to Aaron Mate of The Real News in Baltimore about this week’s agreement by the ROK, the DPRK and the UN Command to remove guard posts along the DMZ. I noted the importance of the UNC’s role in brokering this agreement and talk about its significance. FYI, I’ll have a major piece out soon [UPDATE: read it here] on the UNC and its potential as a peace broker – if only the Trump administration and the Pentagon go along.  For further background, see my piece on an audacious US-Australian proposal on how the Armistice (and the UNC) could be a vehicle for ensuring North Korean security as well as the ROK’s.
